Job summary

Endeavors Unlimited Inc is seeking a part-time landscape aide to prepare and maintain landscape areas per contract specs in Houston, TX. Tasks include mowing, edging, watering, mulching, litter removal, and site cleanup, with emphasis on customer service and safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; attendance and reliability are essential. Valid driver's license is a plus, no specific license required. Training is provided if needed and travel to and from sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience preferred, but not required; will train if program needs allow.
• Regular and acceptable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass using power mowers.
• Trim and edge using power weed eater.
• Water lawns, trees, and plants using portable sprinkler system, hose
• Haul and/or spread topsoil, mulch, straw or pea gravel in lawns or beds.
• Pick up trash and debris by hand or using a poker stick, rake or broom. Bag and dispose of trash.
• Operate blower to clean sidewalks and driveway.
• Clear beds for planting and mulching.
• Perform additional labor as needed for special projects or improvements
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, in everything you do, by placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to "Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities."

Job Purpose

Responsible for preparing and maintaining landscape areas per contract specifications.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• 20% Mow grass using power mowers.
• 20% Trim and edge using power weed eater.
• 5% Water lawns, trees, and plants using portable sprinkler system, hose
• 5% Haul and/or spread topsoil, mulch, straw or pea gravel in lawns or beds.
• 15% Pick up trash and debris by hand or using a poker stick, rake or broom. Bag and dispose of trash.
• 15% Operate blower to clean sidewalks and driveway.
• 5% Clear beds for planting and mulching.
• *Perform additional labor as needed for special projects or improvements

• ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.
• LICENSES: None required. Valid Driver's License a plus.
• VEHICLE: None required. Must be able to get to and from work as scheduled.
• OTHER: Must be available and willing to work assigned schedules. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Ability to pass a background checks may be NEEDED depending on contract.
