Schill Grounds Management is seeking a Landscape Crew Member to assist the Crew Leader in executing landscape plans. The role may focus on maintenance or enhancement, with flexibility to perform either task as directed by supervision.
Essential duties include operating commercial mowers, trimmers, and blowers; performing equipment maintenance; planting, sod installation, pruning, and completing landscape installations as needed. Snow removal is required in winter.
A Landscape Crew Member is responsible for assisting the Landscape Crew Leader in executing landscape plans. Some Landscape Crew Members may specialize in either enhancement or maintenance work, but all Landscape Crew Membersshould be willing and able to perform either enhancement or maintenance work at the discretion of their supervisor. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s purpose and demonstrate our core values.
As a Landscape Crew Memberyou must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
Valid driver's license is preferred, with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standard
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently
High school diploma or GED, preferred
Ability to operate the equipment listed above, in addition to other commonly used landscaping equipment
Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate insnow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold, or heat.
