Job summary

Schill Grounds Management in Dayton, OH seeks a Landscape Crew Leader to supervise project execution, manage crew and customer relations, and perform maintenance and enhancement work as needed. The role includes operating equipment, coordinating materials, and ensuring safety and policy compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of lead experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Winter snow operations and frequent local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience leading landscape crews.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass drug and alcohol test.
• Move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently.
• Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new software.

Responsibilities

• Execute landscape projects per plan (hardscapes, lighting, installations).
• Manage project scope, layout, materials, and paperwork.
• Operate equipment including skid steer, mini excavator, sod cutters, and more.
• Drive a commercial vehicle and pull a trailer.
• Lead, develop, and communicate with the crew; maintain customer relationships.
• Supervise a snow zone during winter; oversee crews and quality control.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
