Job summary

Southside Outdoor Services LLC in Neptune Beach, FL is seeking an experienced landscaping professional to lead a crew and own the work. This is not an entry-level landscaping position.

You will initially manage a 2-day-per-week lawn maintenance route with another crew member, then tackle sod installation, drainage, irrigation repairs, and other outdoor projects. As the maintenance division grows, the goal is to run a full-time crew with increased responsibility and higher pay.

• Professional lawn maintenance or landscaping experience required.
• Ability to lead by example and keep crew productive.
• Strong experience with commercial lawn equipment.
• Ability to judge finished property quality without supervision.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Southside Outdoor Services LLC is looking for an experienced landscaping professional who is ready to lead a crew and take ownership of the work.

This is not an entry-level landscaping position. We are looking for someone who already knows how to perform professional lawn maintenance and landscaping work and is ready to be responsible for quality, efficiency, equipment, and the crew working alongside them.

What the Position Looks Like

You will initially take responsibility for an established 2-day-per-week lawn maintenance route, working alongside another crew member.

The remainder of the week will consist of landscape projects including sod installation, drainage, irrigation repairs, landscape installation, cleanups, and other outdoor projects.

As our maintenance division grows, the goal is for this position to develop into running a full-time crew with increased responsibility and compensation.

What We Need From You

• Professional lawn maintenance or landscaping experience
• Ability to lead by example and keep a crew productive
• Strong experience with commercial mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers and other landscape equipment
• Ability to recognize what a finished property should look like without someone constantly checking behind you
• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time
• Professional communication with customers and other team members

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work outdoors in Florida weather and perform physically demanding work
• Desire to take on additional responsibility as the company grows

Responsibilities

You will be expected to lead daily field operations, including assigning work, maintaining production pace, performing lawn and landscape work alongside the crew, completing final quality checks, properly caring for equipment and vehicles, documenting completed work, communicating job-site issues, and helping train newer employees.

This is a working Crew Leader position. You will be operating equipment and performing the work alongside your crew—not simply supervising from the truck.

Our Work

Southside Outdoor Services provides residential and commercial lawn maintenance, landscaping, sod installation, drainage, irrigation repairs, property cleanups, mulching, pressure washing, and other outdoor services throughout the Jacksonville Beaches and surrounding areas.

Pay & Opportunity

Starting pay: $18–$22/hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability.

This position has a defined path for advancement. Someone who proves they can independently run a route, manage a crew, maintain our quality standards, and take ownership of daily operations can move up quickly in both responsibility and pay.
