Job summary

Green View is a family‑owned landscape company serving Central Illinois since 1955, seeking a Landscape Crew Leader to guide residential and commercial projects from grading to plantings. You will lead crews, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on each job.

You will read blueprints, plan materials and phases, operate skid steers and other equipment, and coordinate with clients and consultants on site. We value hands-on leadership and promote from within.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of landscape installation experience including pavers, walls, grading, and plantings.
• Strong leadership with the ability to teach others while staying hands-on.
• Class C license or willingness to obtain one; CDL a plus.
• Confident in reading blueprints and planning job-site layouts.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Available for snow operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, dingo, excavators, paver vacuums, and saws.

• Ensure crew has the tools, equipment, and support needed to execute each job successfully.
• Train new team members and enforce safety standards on every job site.
• Track materials, paperwork, and schedules to keep projects organized.
• Support snow and ice removal during the off-season.

Position Overview

As a Landscape Crew Leader, you will lead high-impact landscape installations on residential and commercial projects. You will handle everything from grading and excavation to patios, walls, and plantings while keeping safety, efficiency, and quality at the forefront. This role blends craftsmanship, coordination, and leadership, and no two days look the same.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead crew on landscape installation projects including grading, excavation, pavers, retaining walls, and plantings
• Read blueprints and plan ahead for materials, equipment, and project phases
• Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, dingo, excavators, paver vacuums, and saws
• Guide on-site client conversations and make field adjustments to keep projects on track
• Ensure crew has the tools, equipment, and support needed to execute each job successfully
• Train new team members and enforce safety standards on every job site
