Job summary

The Budd Group is seeking a Landscape Crew Leader to guide a small crew in daily landscape maintenance for commercial properties in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC. This role blends hands-on landscaping with leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality results.

You will mentor team members, stay organized, and help create attractive outdoor spaces. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with a pay range of $25-$28 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional landscaping experience.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a crew is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to organize daily work and prioritize tasks.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to safely lift at least 35 pounds throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a landscape crew on commercial properties.
• Coordinate daily job assignments and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Load, inspect, and maintain equipment and tools each day.
• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, planting, and general landscape maintenance.
• Train and mentor crew members on equipment operation and safe work practices.
• Monitor job quality and address issues before leaving each site.
• Identify turf, plant, irrigation, or equipment concerns and communicate them appropriately.
• Complete daily reports, time records, and material tracking.
• Promote a positive, safety-first work environment.
• Assist with seasonal services, including snow removal when applicable.

The Budd Group is seeking a Landscape Crew Leader to oversee daily landscape maintenance operations while leading a small crew to deliver exceptional results. In this role, you'll combine hands‑on landscaping work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
