Job summary

Jensen Landscape in Portola, CA is seeking a crew supervisor for landscape maintenance with strong leadership and bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities. Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of commercial landscape experience
• Valid driver license preferred; pesticide license issued by the state or ability to obtain within one year
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment and tools
• Demonstrates proper pruning techniques and plant knowledge
• Understands turf and plant fertilization basics; herbicide applications knowledge
• Experience prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
• Able to motivate and lead crew members
• Strong customer service orientation
• English/Spanish communication; bilingual preferred
• Ability to read maps for navigation and job planning
• Ability to use work-related smartphone apps

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement job specifications for each site
• Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliance
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks (mowing, edging, blowing, pruning, fertilizing, leaf pickup)
• Monitor sites for quality and provide performance feedback to Area Manager
• Oversee minor enhancement projects at the crew level
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely
• Identify equipment issues and communicate repairs to shop
• Supervise safe loading/unloading of equipment
• Assist Area Manager with crew training and development
• Ensure adherence to company policies
• Develop positive work relationships with Area Manager and team
• Provide routine irrigation maintenance and clock/controller adjustments
• Promote safety culture through tailgate meetings and PPE usage
• Communicate budgeted hours vs actual hours
• Other duties as assigned
