Job summary

GRÄS Lawn is seeking an Operations Manager in New Jersey to oversee field crews, scheduling, and quality assurance for landscape development projects. The role involves coordinating materials, subcontractors, and safety while maintaining client satisfaction and on-time delivery.

The position requires hands-on leadership, site plan reviews, and daily supervision of crews, with a focus on adherence to Gras safety policies and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties prior to scheduled service in order to properly prepare a specific action plan for service
• Reviewing site plans with the construction manager
• Schedule a Pre-Con Meeting with all parties involved in a project - i.e. client, construction team, vendors, branch manager, etc.
• Coordinating all materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors required to produce quality work
• Ordering materials as needed and monitoring costs and deliveries
• Scheduling delivery of materials and equipment
• Managing tools and equipment storage, operation, and maintenance; Safeguarding from theft and misuse
• Installation of required materials for site development
• Assisting in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
• Requesting purchase orders and use in accordance with company guidelines
• Performing hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands
• Conducting job site inspections; Quality control
• Ensuring clients are satisfied
• Train staff to use Aspire Crew mobile, reviewing proper usage continuously.
• Review and approve employees' hours in Aspire daily.
• Ensure crew is following Gras's best practices and core values
• Be on-site to see the crew's arrival in the morning each day.
• Supervise staff throughout the day.
• Ensure the safety of all employees.
• Ensure all employees have the appropriate PPE.
• Train all employees in required safety procedures.
• Ensure crews adhere to Gras safety policies and procedures and local, state, and federal safety regulations.
