Job Title: Laborer

As a Laborer, you will provide landscape maintenance, landscape irrigation, or landscape construction support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. Your responsibilities include the safe operation of commercial-grade landscaping equipment and the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

1. Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in landscape, irrigation, or construction projects.
2. Operate machinery and perform manual work in preparing surfaces for paving (Landscape Construction).
3. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure the site each day to eliminate hazards.
4. Handle materials and perform storage duties.
5. Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials.
6. Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures.
7. Cut turf using power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools, and operate blowers.
8. Prune shrubs and low trees safely to improve shape or remove damaged branches.
9. Lay sod, plant, mow, trim, dig, rake, prune, mulch, install sprinklers, and load/unload materials.
10. Plant and maintain flower beds.
11. Operate edgers and line trimmers along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, and other objects.
12. Pick up trash and blow leaves/debris onto turf before mowing; mulch organic matter when mowing.
13. Perform weeding manually or with garden tools.
14. Maintain a polite, friendly, and responsive demeanor with customers.
15. Report problems to the foreman, safety director, or HR manager.
16. Uphold company policies, procedures, and core values at all times.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
