Job summary

Heritage and Company, Inc. MBE is seeking an experienced landscape estimating professional to prepare accurate, competitive estimates, review scope, perform takeoffs, and develop pricing for proposals.

The role supports project management and operations after award, trains estimators, maintains standards, and communicates with customers and internal teams. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of landscape estimating experience.
• Ability to read plans and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Strong mathematics and pricing skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and email.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive and profitable landscape installation estimates.
• Review plans, specifications, site conditions and bid requirements; clarify scope, exclusions and assumptions before pricing.
• Perform takeoffs for planting, irrigation, masonry, walls, walkways, patios and site preparation; include decks or carpentry when within the company's scope.
• Develop labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs; verify unit prices, production rates and estimating assemblies.
• Verify labor burden, overtime, sales tax and overhead recovery factors with authorized company personnel before use.
• Review bids for scope completeness, cost accuracy and margin; obtain the required internal review before submission.
• Maintain the Bid Board daily; track deadlines, proposal status and customer follow-up.
• Train and support estimating personnel when assigned; use completed job costs to improve future estimates and production assumptions.
