Job summary

IKON Landscape in Sandy, Utah is seeking a Landscape Construction Estimator to develop accurate project estimates for high-end residential and commercial landscaping. You will refine estimating processes, work with Sales, Design, and Operations to deliver competitive, profitable proposals, and help build a best-in-class preconstruction system.

Responsibilities include cost takeoffs, pricing labor and materials, and maintaining pricing databases while tracking bid results to improve estimating

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating experience in landscape construction or related field.
• Ability to read landscape, grading, irrigation and construction plans.
• Strong understanding of landscape materials and installation methods.
• Experience with estimating software and takeoff programs such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, LMN, Aspire.
• Excellent math, analytical and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with multiple bids and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for landscape construction projects, including hardscape, irrigation, grading, drainage and planting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline estimating procedures and improve bid accuracy.
• Review drawings and plans to perform detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Develop labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material pricing for proposals.
• Collaborate with Designers, Project Managers and Sales to reflect project scope in estimates.
• Solicit and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Maintain current pricing databases for labor, materials and subcontractors.
• Prepare alternate pricing, allowances and value engineering options as needed.
• Track bid results and participate in post-project reviews to improve estimating accuracy.
