Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Landscape Architecture + Planning to join its collaborative team in Houston, TX. This role provides planning, design and permitting assistance across diverse projects, offering cross-functional collaboration and hands-on industry exposure.

You will gain experience in urban revitalization, streetscape, retail, education, healthcare, and smart growth planning, while developing skills in design software and project coordination with senior staff.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in Landscape Architecture.
• Prior internship experience preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Highly creative with proficiency in Adobe Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to travel to other regional Langan offices occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Landscape Architecture team with planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture and related projects.
• Assist with zoning, ordinance and permit assessments and feasibility analysis.
• Support preparation and modification of design and engineering documents (reports, plans, schedules, estimates).
• Assess soil, terrain, hydrology, and topography for planning and design implications.
• Perform other duties as requested.
