Environmental Science Associates (ESA) seeks a Landscape Architect/Landscape Restoration Specialist to advance habitat restoration and mitigation design in the Pacific Northwest.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in landscape architecture or ecological restoration, and thrives collaborating with designers, biologists, engineers, planners, and environmental scientists in a hybrid Seattle or Portland setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or ecological restoration.
• Experience with habitat restoration and mitigation projects including wetlands, riparian, or shoreline.
• Proven ability to produce construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Experience designing irrigation for restoration and mitigation planting sites.
• Field observation and construction administration experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead or support project management tasks and client communication.
• Strong communication skills; able to work in the field in varying weather.
• Hybrid work capability from Seattle or Portland; WA/OR lic. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and detailed plans for habitat restoration.
• Prepare mitigation, planting, grading, and performance documentation.
• Integrate biological, hydrological, and engineering data into multidisciplinary design.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, costs, and technical reports.
• Provide field oversight and construction administration as needed.
