Job summary

UltiPlay Parks & Playgrounds in Blackstone, Massachusetts is seeking a Landscape Architect to lead projects and build relationships with architecture firms across New England. The ideal candidate will have a background in landscape architecture, strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite, and excellent client communication skills.

This role is built for someone who lives comfortably at the crossroads of design and business development. You’ll be the primary point of contact for landscape architecture firms across New England, helping them understand how UltiPlay’s products and services fit into their large‑scale park and recreation projects, and then seeing those projects through from early planning to successful delivery. Some days that looks like a design consultation. Others it looks like a site visit, a client presentation, or a conversation about what a municipality needs to get a project funded and built.

The right person for this role has a landscape architecture or design background and knows how to read a set of plans, but they’re equally comfortable building relationships and identifying new opportunities. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, highly motivated, and a self‑starter.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain relationships with landscape architecture firms throughout New England, attending meetings and conducting site visits
• Maintain a sales and project pipeline by coordinating in‑person and virtual Lunch & Learn events with landscape architecture firms
• Lead landscape and recreation design projects from concept to completion, including parks, playgrounds, school facilities, sports and recreational spaces, and multi‑family housing
• Prepare design plans, construction documents, and presentation graphics using AutoCAD, Adobe, and other software platforms as needed
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client deliverables in coordination with the sales team
• Develop schematic design and recreation plans using manufacturer and vendor assets
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative project environment
• Frequent travel throughout New England for site visits, customer meetings, lunch & learns, installations/project management – on the road 2+ days per week.
• Represent UltiPlay at regional conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Occasional out‑of‑state travel for conferences, training, and team events.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture, planning, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in landscape architecture and/or outdoor recreation; construction administration experience is a plus
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite
• Clear communication skills and the organizational ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfort in client‑facing settings, including presentations, site visits, and firm meetings
