The S/L/A/M Collaborative has an opportunity for a Landscape Architect with 5-10+ years of experience to join the firm in our Orlando, FL office. SLAM is an award-winning studio-based design firm with exciting and challenging campus planning and detailed site design projects throughout the nation. Our team in Orlando specializes in theme park projects, so the ideal candidate will have a passion for themed entertainment and a desire to design unique environments.

Job Responsibilities include :

  • Manage projects and project teams with several in-house disciplines, in addition to coordinating with various consultants
  • Develop and express strong planning and design concepts
  • Attend client meetings in-house and at client sites
  • Produce creative and convincing presentations in multiple formats
  • Translate design concepts into CAD-based technical drawings and specifications

Key Skills :

  • 5-10+ yearsof experience preferred
  • Experience in theme park and themed entertainment projects preferred
  • Strong project management, project design leadership, and multi-discipline team leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in complex site grading, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Strong technical skills with site layout, planting, grading/surface drainage, and construction detailing
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and LandFX
  • Multi-media 2D and 3D design and documentation skills using software such as Sketch Up, Rhino,Lumion, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft programs
  • Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with largemulti-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills
  • Licensure in the state of FL required
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture required
