Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Landscape Architect to join a development-focused team in Houston. You’ll contribute to design coordination, site visits, and construction administration across a portfolio of residential and mixed-use communities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with development and construction teams, permitting, and design review through multiple project stages, offering strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture required.
• Licensed Landscape Architect preferred.
• 3+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience on residential or mixed-use developments preferred.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Collaborative project environment and delivery involvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare landscape plans, planting plans, and construction documentation for residential and mixed-use developments.
• Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and city agencies throughout project delivery.
• Support projects through site visits and construction administration activities.
• Assist with permitting, presentations, and design review processes.
• Help manage project quality, schedules, and budgets across multiple active developments.
• Collaborate with internal development and construction teams to deliver cohesive outdoor environments.

This development focused team is behind a growing portfolio of residential and mixed-use communities, with projects that bring together landscape architecture, construction, and development teams in a highly collaborative environment. Landscape Architects here are given broad involvement across projects, with exposure spanning design coordination, permitting, site visits, and delivery.They’re now looking for a Landscape Architect who enjoys collaborative project environments and wants strong exposure across both design and site coordination.

What you'll be doing:

What we're looking for:
