Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Landscape Architect to work on various public and private projects involving site/civil design, including residential and commercial site development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, 3+ years of experience, and strong skills in illustration and software like AutoCAD Civil 3D. Qualifications

Landscape Architect – Charlotte, NC

Location: United States, North Carolina, Charlotte

Role: Landscape Architect in our Charlotte, NC office to work on a variety of projects for public and private clients. Excellent career opportunity to join a team of professionals and apply the latest technology to solve challenging problems. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, mixed-use, commercial and industrial site development, and capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare site construction documents for public and private projects, including parks and recreation, education, commercial/retail and single-family developments.
  • Prepare development plans to support rezoning and/or special exception applications. Assist with conducting public meetings and workshops.
  • Site/civil development including construction site plans, grading design, stormwater management systems design, landscaping, erosion and sediment control design, and construction details using Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with stormwater design is a plus but not required.
  • May conduct code research, write specifications, and coordinate permitting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape architecture.
  • Registered Landscape Architect preferred but not required.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, GIS/ArcView and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
