Dewberry is currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Charlotte, NC office to work on a variety of projects for public and private clients. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, mixed-use, commercial and industrial site development, and capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities




    Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential.
  • Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications. Assist with conducting public meetings and workshops.
  • Site/civil development including construction site plans, grading design, storm water management systems design, landscaping, erosion and sediment control design, and construction details using Civil 3D.
  • Ability to perform in the role of Project Manager responsible for client relationship management.
  • Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
  • May also conduct code research, write specifications, and coordinate permitting.





Required Skills & Required Experience




  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
  • 5-12 years of experience in landscape architecture.
  • Registered Landscape Architect required. Registration with NC and/or SC is preferred.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, GIS/ArcView and Power Point.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
