Job summary

GA Telesis Landing Gear Services in Medley, FL is seeking an experienced Landing Gear Technician-Polisher to join our award-winning team. You will build and tear down various landing gears and components, following OEM manuals and FAA requirements.

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the role requires high school education and 1–3 years related experience; you will work with precision using lathes, hones, grinders, and plating tanks to ensure airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent with 1–3 years related experience.
• 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
• Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts using drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans.
• Ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify, and/or repair OEM equipment.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and inspect landing gear components for wear, corrosion or damage.
• Polish landing gear parts using specialized tools and equipment.
• Follow OEM repair manuals to restore airworthiness standards.
• Operate machinery safely (lathes, hones, grinders, plating tanks).
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Read engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for modifications/repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the ideal candidate will use their experience and knowledge to perform high-quality alterations. This role is based in Medley, FL.

Important Notice: Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, clean, and inspect landing gear componentsfor wear, corrosion or damage.
• Perform polishing ofvarious landing gear parts, including cylinders and pistonsusing specialized tools and equipment.
• Follow strict tolerances and OEM repair manuals to ensure parts are restored toairworthiness standards.
• Operate machinery such as lathes, hones, grinders, and plating tanks safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
• Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies using applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans.
• Possess the ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify, and/or repair OEM equipment of all types.
