The Environmental Services Department of the City of Springfield is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Landfill Supervisor. This position will work alongside and report to the Superintendent of Solid Waste. This position serves as a key member of the Noble Hill Sanitary Landfill leadership team dedicated to achieving efficient operations and exceptional customer service through communication, team development, cohesiveness, and safety. These are accomplished and achieved through principles followed within the Trust Edge framework and are modeled at the City through processes, relationships, and trust. The Landfill Supervisor will manage and direct landfill operations, oversee professional crew leaders, equipment operators, maintenance workers, heavy vehicle technicians, and work alongside and provide operational support to Environmental Specialists and support staff.
