Job summary

WM is seeking on-site landfill laborers to perform essential tasks including litter control, debris collection, and traffic guidance at the landfill entrance. You will operate vacuum equipment and tractors to clean the border, and assist with site maintenance using basic hand tools.

The role requires physical effort and adherence to safety protocols, with a base pay discussed during hiring. A strong commitment to safety and the environment is valued.

Qualifications

• Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal, Environmental and/or Health/Safety Regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manually picks up windblown paper around the landfill and deposits refuse in a bag.
• Operates a mobile vacuum and tractor to collect loose paper and debris along the landfill border.
• Directs traffic at the landfill entrance during busy periods.
• Lifts construction materials and uses hand tools for site maintenance.
• Separates metal, white goods, lumber and cardboard from trash on the tipping floor.
