Insight Global is seeking a Landfill Operations Manager in Indiana to oversee day-to-day landfill activities, lead site personnel, and ensure safe, compliant, efficient operations.

This role focuses on operational planning, equipment utilization, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement to optimize landfill performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in landfill, waste, construction, or industrial operations.
• Ability to lead teams, drive performance, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, and equipment management.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Landfill Operator Certification preferred.

• Oversee all landfill operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop site personnel, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage landfill planning, waste disposal activities, environmental systems, and site improvement projects.
• Coordinate with maintenance and leadership teams to maximize equipment performance and achieve operational targets.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permit requirements, and company safety standards.
• Will supervise 11 direct reports (heavy equipment operators, scale house operators, general laborers).

The Landfill Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day landfill activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role leads site personnel, manages landfill processes, and works closely with operational and environmental leadership to support business objectives, maintain regulatory compliance, and optimize landfill performance. The manager is accountable for operational planning, equipment utilization, environmental stewardship, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives that support long-term site success.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all landfill operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop site personnel, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

• Will be under 1 Supervisor and will oversee 11 direct reports (heavy equipment operators, scale house operators, general laborers)
