Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience operating heavy equipment.
• Proficient operation of at least five machines preferred.
• CDL-A preferred.
• General construction experience relevant to daily operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to on-site safety plans and occupational practices.
• Physical strength for medium to very heavy tasks.
• Willingness to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Push, place, and compact waste at the landfill site.
• Excavate, load, process, and place daily cover material.
• Mentor and direct co-workers on projects.
• Learn to read blueprints, use GPS for surveying, and operate laser grade control.
• Adapt plans as needed and maintain flexibility.
• Assist with labor-intensive tasks when necessary.
• Attend workshops and trainings for professional development.
• Uphold safety practices and communicate effectively with the team.
