Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Indiana is seeking a Landfill Laborer to perform grounds upkeep, fence building, and facility maintenance at the landfill. This role supports operations by performing outdoor tasks and assisting in various lines of business while complying with safety policies.

You will operate basic equipment, interact with customers, and help maintain erosion controls and odor systems. The position requires a strong work ethic, basic tool experience, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Willingness to perform physical labor and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility grounds upkeep including mowing, trimming, and trash pickup.
• Build, repair fences, and install erosion controls as needed.
• Maintain odor control systems and assist with yard operations.
• Operate light equipment such as skid steers, sweepers, and fuel trucks as needed.
• Direct traffic around the landfill and interact professionally with customers.
• Follow safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
