Anne Arundel County in Maryland seeks a Maintenance Worker I to perform heavy manual labor in the Waste Management Services Division. This full-time, safety-sensitive role requires six days per week operations, weekend overtime, and the ability to lift heavy loads and operate tools as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning buildings and grounds at the county landfill, directing trucks, mowing and grounds maintenance, and related duties. A valid non-commercial license is required.

Qualifications

• Heavy manual labor; no specialized experience required.
• Lifts up to 90 lbs alone and up to 180 lbs with a partner.
• Must be able to work twelve-hour emergency shifts and overtime.

Responsabilités

• Perform laboring duties at a county landfill, such as cleaning buildings and grounds.
• Direct trucks at the working base of the landfill and perform related duties.
• Operate power tools and equipment as needed and in emergencies.
