Join to apply for the Landfill Field Technician role at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.

As a Landfill Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll work in the Waste Management Practice in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This is a full-time position responsible for performing Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services to observe, document, and monitor landfill construction activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring projects such as cell liner systems, final closure cap systems, landfill gas collection and control systems, and other related facilities.
• Evaluating whether construction meets project specifications and regulatory permits, either independently or as part of a team.
• Performing field testing of construction materials and collecting samples for laboratory testing to confirm compliance.
• Collaborating with the project manager to prepare as-built documentation for certification of completed work.

Qualifications and skills:

• Interest in learning about landfill or related construction and CQA services.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a pickup truck.
• Willingness to be trained in CQA procedures and develop as a key team member.
• Interest in working at various construction sites.
• Professional speaking and writing skills.
• Experience in landfill or construction CQA is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
