Ideal candidates have a J.D. and Texas license, with experience in land use, zoning, municipal law, or real estate, and strong writing and research skills to support city councils and staff.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Texas license to practice law is required.
• Experience in land use, zoning, municipal law, real estate, or local government is preferred.
• Strong writing, research, and public-facing communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and provide practical, client-focused advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise cities and local government clients on zoning, planning, platting, subdivision, and land use matters.
• Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, development agreements, easements, and related documents.
• Counsel clients on annexation, ETJ issues, PIDs, TIRZs, economic development, and public infrastructure matters.
• Attend public meetings and support city councils, boards, commissions, and staff.
• Research and analyze municipal, land use, and real estate legal issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys and client teams on complex governmental matters.
