LAND SURVEYOR I - HIGHWAYS DIVISION (OAHU)

Job Details

Location: Oahu District Office, Department of Transportation, Highways Division.

Salary: $4,495 to $5,472 per month (SR-18, Step D to I).

Type: Full-time, Entry level.

Job Function: Management and Manufacturing within Government Administration.

Responsibilities
  • Provides land survey support for highway construction and maintenance projects.
  • Serves as instrumentman on various surveys using transit, level, theodolite, etc.
  • Reduces and plots field notes, performs computations, and may serve as chief-of-party.
  • Compiles survey data from maps, deeds, land titles, and descriptions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree in land surveying, geo-science, or engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Valid driver’s license for Hawaii at the time of appointment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 125 lbs with assistance.
