Job Purpose

This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill immediate and future vacancies located at the Oahu District Office, Department of Transportation, Highways Division.

Salary

$4,495 to $5,472 per month (SR-18, Step D to I).

Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Position Overview

Provides land survey support for highway construction and maintenance projects. Serves as instrumentman on various surveys, using transit, level, theodolite, and other instruments. Reduces and plots field notes, performs computations, may serve as chief-of-party, and compiles survey data from various sources.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Legal Authorization to Work: Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or eligible for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree in land surveying, geo-science, or engineering from an accredited institution.
  3. Driver's License: Valid Hawaii driver's license required at the time of appointment.
  4. Lifting Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 125 lbs with assistance.
  5. Substitutions: Relevant substitutions may apply as per the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
