Confidential Employer in Janesville, WI is seeking a land surveyor to join our team for a full-time, on-site/field-based role. You will perform surveys for residential, commercial, subdivision, and construction projects, establish boundaries, and prepare legal descriptions.

The position requires a degree in land surveying or geomatics, 2+ years of experience, and strong field/calculation skills. A Wisconsin PLS license is a plus, with benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement

Qualifications

• Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a closely related field is required or preferred.
• 2+ years of land surveying experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of boundary surveys, measurements, and surveying calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform land surveys for residential, commercial, subdivision, and construction projects.
• Establish property boundaries through accurate measurements, research, and surveying calculations.
• Prepare and review survey maps, sketches, plats, reports, and legal descriptions.
• Research deeds, land records, property titles, and existing surveys to determine boundaries.
• Support boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
• Analyze field measurements, verify calculations, and maintain accurate survey records.
• Collaborate with engineers, field crews, and drafting professionals to deliver quality projects.
• Review survey drawings for accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Help solve surveying challenges and ensure projects are completed efficiently.
