Job summary

Merraine Group is seeking a Land Surveyor for the San Francisco Bay Area. The role involves deed research, boundary analysis, drafting final maps, and legal descriptions, working with engineers and field crews to support residential and commercial developments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of office survey experience, is proficient in boundary analysis and legal descriptions, and has hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar survey software. PLS or LSIT licensure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review legal and survey records to prepare final and parcel maps, legal descriptions, and Records of Survey.
• Execute boundary resolutions, analyze topographic surveys, and perform construction staking calculations.
• Complete FEMA elevation certificates, LOMA applications, and city/county setback verifications.
• Partner with Survey team members to create accurate base maps and drawings.
• Manage field data, including digital datasets, field notes, and site photography.
• Collaborate with teams to meet project standards, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Review legal and survey records to prepare final and parcel maps, legal descriptions, and Records of Survey.

• Proficient in boundary analysis, legal description preparation, and construction staking calculations.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (or relevant survey software).
• PLS or LSIT licensure is desired
