Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a hands-on survey assistant to support field surveys across boundary, topographic, and construction projects. You will assist data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation, and prepare right-of-way plats and certified survey maps while collaborating with project teams in the field.

The role requires traveling as needed, working outdoors in varying weather, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using Trimble and AutoCAD tools.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions
• Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed
• Experience with basic surveying procedures, including boundary and land surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS
• Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions
• Field experience using Trimble survey equipment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting SEH’s Driving Program requirements
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
