Job summary

Carnes & Ekparian is seeking a Land Surveyor in Training to work in the field and in the office. The ideal candidate will hold an A.S. or B.S.

in Surveying or Geomatics Engineering and gain hands-on experience in boundary and topographic surveys, parcel mapping, and ALTA work. We offer a full-time position with at least 40 hours per week, competitive benefits including medical insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Training position with potential licensure; on-the-job development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in boundary pre-calculations and resolutions.
• Prepare parcel and final maps; manage data quality and organization.
• Fieldwork includes topographic surveys and boundary work.
• Support ALTA maps and legal descriptions as needed.

• Knowledge of and ability to use AutoCAD Land Desktop.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Understanding of and the ability to use MS Office; Word and Excel.

The position is a full time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Duties and Responsibilities to Include but not limited to:

• Boundary pre-calculations and Resolution.
• Prepare Parcel Maps, Final Maps and Topographic Maps. Manage Data (including quality control, translations and rotations).
• Field work doing topos, boundarys and other work.
