Job summary

Rinker Design Associates, LLC is seeking a Land Survey Technician in Glen Allen, Virginia to join the Survey/Geomatics team. This full-time role focuses on turning survey data into precise maps and drawings using AutoCAD and related software.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or higher (BS/BA preferred), 3–5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, and MicroStation familiarity. You will produce preliminary and final maps, collaborate with surveyors and engineers, and manage field data

What You'll Need

• Degree: High School Diploma or greater, prefer BS/BA
• Experience: 3-5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.

What You'll Do

• Transform Data into Design: You'll be responsible for producing preliminary and final maps and drawings using various software platforms with quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and clarity of work.
• Build Relationships and Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure that every design meets project specifications and industry standards.
• Field Survey Data Processing and Management: You'll assist with and perform basic field survey data processing such as note reductions for as-builts, location and topographic mapping, as well as data and file management.
