Job summary

EXACTA Land Surveyors is seeking a Survey Scout Trainee to discover property corners and prep sites for crews. The role involves using a metal locator and shovel, driving between job sites, and progressing through a Training Program to become a Survey Field Crew Chief.

Ideal candidates will be in the Sandusky general area, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, outdoors year-round, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record must meet insurance requirements.
• Willingness to learn standard land surveying principles, terms, and applications.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and communicate with team and the public.

Responsibilities

• Motivated self-starter capable of working with limited supervision.
• Assist in care of survey equipment and company vehicles.
• Remove debris, trash, brush, and other items interfering with scouting process.
• Work scheduled overtime and/or weekends to meet deadlines.
• Attend daily check-in meetings and follow company policies.
• Provide courteous customer service as necessary.
