Yoh has an exciting, full-time opportunity for a Survey Crew Chief to oversee survey operations for our Civil Engineering client. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of overall surveying experience, prior experience as a Crew Chief, and live within a commutable distance to the office Southborough, MA for an onsite environment.

Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour

Title: Land Survey Crew Chief

Compensation: $30.00-$35.00/hour (depending on experience level)

Responsibilities:

1. Lead field operations using advanced equipment such as Trimble, Leica, and Spectre robotic total stations, GPS RTK Units, and 3D Laser Scanners.
2. Manage data collection efficiently, ensuring seamless transfer and collaboration with office staff.
3. Maintain accurate documentation and organization of project files upon completion.
4. Utilize map interpretation skills to navigate projects effectively, including scaling drawings and deciphering symbols.
5. Guide the team with your comprehensive knowledge of survey types and their purposes.
6. Foster open communication with the Assistant/Project Manager and team members to address project needs promptly.
7. Take responsibility for equipment maintenance, ensuring optimal performance for each project.
8. Demonstrate initiative in optimizing task execution to enhance efficiency and productivity.
9. Utilize general computer applications proficiently to streamline surveying processes.
10. Embrace opportunities for growth and development through training and educational initiatives.
11. Be flexible to work overtime and travel with overnight stays as required by project demands.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of surveying experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with demonstrated proficiency in producing clean and accurate plan presentations.
2. Strong math skills to ensure precise measurement and calculation in surveying tasks.
3. Proven record of producing clean and accurate plan presentations, showcasing attention to detail and quality.
4. Knowledge of field survey operations, as well as the engineering and construction industry, to effectively coordinate survey activities with project requirements.
5. Excellent organizational and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and clients.
6. Ability to learn new software and technologies in a timely manner, adapting to evolving industry tools and methodologies.
7. Proficient with MS Word and Excel, enabling efficient documentation and data management processes.
