raSmith is seeking a Land Survey CAD Technician to contribute to a range of nationwide projects within our Survey Services division. The role emphasizes drafting ALTA/NSPS surveys, plats, and legal descriptions using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, 0–3+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office. We offer a hybrid work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Land Survey CAD Technician Primary Responsibilities:

• Reviewing assigned project files for necessary materials and information to carry out project scope and drafting tasks.
• Providing thorough analysis of field notes, legal descriptions, title easements, design plans, utility plans and construction layout notes.
• Preparing survey documents including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, Plat of Survey, Certified Survey Maps, topographic maps, Transportation Plats, Condominium Plats, Subdivision Plats, legal descriptions and other survey exhibits.
• Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Land Survey CAD Technician Skills and Requirements:

• An Associate's Degree in a related field or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited school.
• 0-3+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of surveying methods, practices and techniques as well as the legal aspects of surveying are required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D and Microsoft Office products is also expected.
• Applicable U.S. based work experience.
