Job summary

TC Energy’s US Land Services team is expanding to support large-scale capital and growth projects. We seek an experienced Land Representative to manage landowner and contractor relationships across US operations, assisting Project Management in acquiring surface rights, permits and land access agreements.

You will coordinate with internal clients, act as a TC Energy ambassador with landowners, regulatory agencies and the public, and lead non-environmental permitting efforts such as road, utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7 years of combined applicable academic training, certification and related experience in the natural gas pipeline industry.
• Experience in land and right of way acquisition in the natural gas pipeline industry.
• Experience in post construction land damages settlements.
• Experience with non-environmental permitting acquisition with third party impacts such as DOH/DOT agencies.
• Familiar with state and federal (FERC) pipeline regulations and requirements.
• Ability to maintain schedules and meet critical project deadlines.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee third-party contract land personnel.
• Manage contract land personnel on negotiation of agreements, permits, and progress with landowners and agencies, always reflecting fair and equitable practices.
• Collaborate with knowledgeable and expert internal clients in resolution of land-related responsibilities and issues.
• Act as an ambassador of TC Energy with external stakeholders focusing on enhancing relationships with TC Energy landowners, industry associations, regulatory agencies, and the general public.
• Coordinate and lead acquisition of non-environmental permitting activities such as road use maintenance agreements (RUMAs), heavy haul permits, utility relocations, crossings, etc.
• Conduct high level, forward-thinking project planning, budget forecasting, and risk assessment on behalf of Land Services and the projects team.
• Develop, coordinate, manage and track Land related budgets including but not limited to acquisition and contractor costs.
