Job summary

Town Of Chippewa is seeking a Land Resource Technician for a seasonal, limited-term role in Chippewa County. The position runs May through November 2027 for up to 975 hours, providing technical support for mine site reclamation and stormwater management.

Responsibilities include mapping and GIS-related tasks with ArcGIS, GPS surveying as needed, and collaboration on soil science, geology, and plant science aspects related to site work. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mapping software, ArcGIS or similar.
• GPS survey experience preferred.
• Knowledge of soil science, geology and plant science.
• Construction excavation techniques and materials knowledge preferred.
• Stormwater management experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for nonmetallic mine site reclamation.
• Support the stormwater management program.
