Job summary

DRB HOMES seeks a Land Development professional to develop property and provide finished lots for home construction. You will assist the Director of Land, entitle and permit projects, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure quality in development work.

You will collaborate with civil engineers, planners, HOAs, and property managers to manage land acquisitions, bond requirements, and site development. A strong regulatory understanding is essential.

JOB PURPOSE:To develop property and provide finished lots for home construction; assist Director of Land with engineering and operations of community land development.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of new and ongoing residential communities including:Working with civil engineers and planners to entitle and permit the workSolicit and evaluate bids, establish budgets and schedules, oversee development workProvide oversight to ensure quality, schedule and budget meet required standardsProvide ongoing soil, erosion and sediments control oversight and documentationWork with Homeowner Associations (HOA’s)Work with community management companies/managers to resolve issuesAttend annual HOA meetingsReview and Approve HOA budgetsReview and rule on Architectural Review submissionsOversee Community Manager efforts to ensure communities are run wellAssist in the acquisition of land for new communities and/or finished lots for building homesAssist in identifying potential land or lots to purchaseAssist in evaluating development and building costs for the potential acquisitionAssist in evaluating the demand, pricing and potential market for the potential acquisitionManage the ongoing entitlement and bond requirements for owned propertiesfor existing communitiesRenew/update permits as necessaryManage the bond release process (completing work, coordinating inspections, release bonds)Provide support to home building and new home sales teamsProvide HOA documents and budget information as neededEvaluate and establish matrices providing lot fit and lot characteristicsProvide support on all land related questions and issues as neededQUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge and SkillsHigh level of interpersonal skills – with the ability to professionally interact with customers, legislators, inspectors, contractors and industry leaders.Self-motivated, organized and with the ability to prioritize and function successfully with minimal direct supervision.
