Job summary

Northern Lights School Division #113 is seeking a Land Language Culture Coordinator to support Beauval community and schools. The role focuses on language, culture, and community partnerships in a land-based learning context.

The successful candidate will collaborate with principals, teachers, Elders, and knowledge keepers to foster a positive culture, build partnerships, and support students and families. A Grade 12 education and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication and organization skills.
  • Speaking Cree, Dene or Michif would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with First Nations schools and communities.
  • Ability to work with all school staff, children, youth, caregivers, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community members in a positive manner.
  • First-hand experience facilitating land-based learning.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
