Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience within the civil design industry with a focus on land development and a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, execution, and close-out.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.

JOB SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
  • Lead and oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, execution, and close-out.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and prepare regular progress reports.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to project teams, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Create detailed site layouts for land development projects, ensuring optimal use of space and functionality.
  • Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Team Management
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets project milestones and deliverables.
  • Evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback.
Quality Assurance
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction compliance with design specifications.
  • Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Business Development
  • Support business development activities by preparing proposals, presentations and cost estimates for potential projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new business and project expansion.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of engineering experience within the civil design industry with a focus on land development and a proven track record of leading and managing complex projects

Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Skills:
  • Proven experience managing complex engineering projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Experience with risk management, budgeting, and cost control techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design software including in AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Works well within a team environment.
