Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) is seeking a Land Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Watertown, MA.

The program introduces students to the workforce with hands-on learning and real-world experience in land development, from early research to permitting and construction. Responsibilities include collaborating with VHB staff and consultants, developing planning/engineering solutions, data mining, field data collection, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in transportation, land development, urban design, real estate, environmental, institutional, or energy sector.
• Ability to work on a computer remotely if necessary.
• Ability to travel locally and complete fieldwork if necessary.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
• Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions
• Assist in data mining and visualization
• Perform analysis of data or calculations
• Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities
• Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports
