Job summary

Meritage Homes is seeking a future leader for a full-time, in-person Summer 2027 Land Development internship in Jupiter, FL. You will explore new community development from pre-acquisition to lot turnover, coordinate with multiple departments, and learn planning, zoning, and environmental compliance processes.

You'll work with leaders to understand the homebuilding industry, Meritage’s business model, and participate in projects that influence strategy.

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in a degree program at a regionally accredited university or college.
Interest in land development, construction, and real estate.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced internship environment.
Willingness to travel to South Florida land sites.

Responsibilities

Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area.
Learn Meritage core values and why they drive everything they do.
Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship.
Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders.
Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy.
Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic.
