Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking summer interns to join the Land Development team in Everett, WA, Woodinville, WA, or Boise, ID.

Interns will assist with site design, grading and drainage, utilities, stormwater, construction documents, and permitting under engineers and landscape architects. You will gain hands-on experience through mentorship and real‑world project work while contributing to multidisciplinary teams focused on land development and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Interest in land development and civil engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D helps.
• Current student or intern pursuing summer exposure in land development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and design of land development projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Support the preparation of site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and construction plans.
• Develop and update drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and assist with project documentation, cost estimates, and permitting efforts.
• Collaborate with project teams and review technical information to support project delivery.
• Gain hands‑on experience through mentorship, training, and real‑world engineering projects.
