David Evans and Associates, Inc. invites motivated students to join its Land Development team as Summer 2027 interns. You will work alongside civil engineers and landscape architects on site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting tasks, gaining hands-on experience.

The internship offers mentorship and exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D across multidisciplinary projects. The role is based in Everett, WA; Woodinville, WA; and Boise, ID, with a collaborative, learning-focused environment

Qualifications

• Assist with planning and design under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Prepare site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and construction plans.
• Develop and update drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and assist with permitting, cost estimates, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to support project delivery.
• Gain hands-on experience through mentorship and real-world projects.

The Land Development Business Unit is seeking Interns to join our Civil Engineering team for Summer 2027 in the following locations: Everett, WA, Woodinville, WA, or Boise, ID.

The successful intern candidate will support land development projects alongside civil engineers and landscape architects. Responsibilities may include assisting with site design, grading and drainage, utilities, stormwater management, construction documents, engineering calculations, permitting, and project coordination. Interns will gain hands‑on experience through mentorship and real‑world project work while contributing to multidisciplinary project teams.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with the planning and design of land development projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Support the preparation of site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and construction plans.
• Develop and update drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

What You Bring
