The role involves technical design services, creating drawings and bid documents, and coordinating with the Project Manager. Qualifications include a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, proficiency in CAD Civil 3D, and strong communication and

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Proficient in CAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to take directions from PM and coordinate with design team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team.

  • Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.
  • Communicates with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team
  • Prepares design computations and assessments.
  • Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
  • Reports directly to their Project Manager.
  • Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project.
  • Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Proficient in CAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required.
  • Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
  • Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team.
  • Strong writing and verbal skills; Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs.
  • May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

  • Passed your FE Exam and obtained your E.I./E.I.T.
  • Experience with design of land development projects preferred.
  • NC residency preferred.
