Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Alpharetta, Georgia office is seeking an Engineering graduate with 1+ years of civil design experience to join the Land Development team. You will perform site development engineering, manage projects, and contribute to civil design, permitting, and software tools including Hydrology, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

The role emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, client interaction, and opportunity to grow in project management and technical leadership within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelors or Masters).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet client deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Includes research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages and technical specifications.
• As a critical team member, you'll receive on-the-job and formal training with mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
