Job summary

Metric Geo in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its site development team. You will take ownership of civil/site plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, coordinating with senior engineers, PMs, clients, and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of land-development design experience, strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills, and a path toward a PE license within months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in civil/site development design.
• Experience with Civil 3D on land-development projects.
• PE license preferred, or ability to obtain within approx. 6 months.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil/site plans for land-development projects.
• Design grading, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and related site infrastructure.
• Create, modify, and maintain design models and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Assist with engineering calculations, technical documentation, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
• Review designs and drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in civil/site development design.
• Demonstrated experience working with Civil 3D on land-development projects.
• PE license preferred, or the ability to obtain a PE within approximately 6 months.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
