Job summary

Spicer Group seeks an ambitious Land Development Director to lead and grow our land development service area, delivering high-profile projects from concept through completion. You will align with executive leadership to shape the service area vision, drive strategy, and ensure exceptional client service while mentoring a high-performing team.

You will oversee project planning, staffing, risk management, budgeting, and regulatory coordination, while positioning Spicer Group as an industry leader

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in land development, urban planning, redevelopment, or related professional services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects with public and private clients.
  • Strong knowledge of land use, zoning, site planning, infrastructure, permitting, entitlement, and development regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead land development, redevelopment, urban planning, and economic development projects from concept to completion.
  • Provide strategic oversight for planning, staffing, risk management, and regulatory coordination.
  • Manage service line financials: utilization, revenue growth, profitability, invoicing, staffing, budgeting.
  • Serve as Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge on high-profile projects with accountability for outcomes.
  • Drive business development, client maintenance plans, proposals, and interviews.
